Terms and Conditions for Candibase
Effective date: October 29, 2025 1) About Candibase Candibase (“Candibase,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at https://candibase.io and provides a platform where founders and recruiters can find the perfect developer in seconds without scrolling LinkedIn (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Contact: mike@candibase.io 2) Who may use the Services You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law and comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. 3) Accounts & Accuracy of Information You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. 4) Candidate Profiles & Ownership When candidates sign up, they create and own their profile. Candidates may delete their profile at any time; doing so will remove the profile from recruiter/founder view, subject to legal retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy. By creating a profile, candidates grant Candibase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and make their profile available to registered recruiters/founders solely to provide the Services. 5) Recruiter/Founder Access & Use Registered recruiters/founders may view candidate profile information and contact candidates through details provided. You may use candidate data only for legitimate hiring and recruiting purposes, in compliance with applicable law (including privacy and anti-spam laws). You must not resell, sublicense, scrape, harvest, or build derivative databases from candidate data, nor use it for discriminatory, deceptive, or unlawful purposes. 6) User Content “User Content” includes profile details, CVs, messages, and any material you submit. You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law. 7) Prohibited Conduct You agree not to: violate any law or third-party rights; attempt to access non-public areas, interfere with security, or test vulnerabilities; use bots or automated means to access or extract data; upload malware or harmful code; misrepresent identity, affiliation, or job opportunities; engage in harassment, discrimination, or other abusive behavior. 8) Data & Privacy Personal data collected: name, email, CV information. Non-personal data: we use web cookies and similar technologies. Use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at https://candibase.io/privacy-policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge our data practices. You are responsible for complying with your own privacy and data protection obligations when accessing or using candidate data. 9) Intellectual Property The Services, including software, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by Candibase or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. 10) Third-Party Links The Services may link to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party content or practices. 11) Service Changes & Availability We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without liability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. 12) Disclaimer of Warranties To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not verify User Content and are not responsible for its accuracy or completeness. 13) Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Candibase and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of €100 or the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. 14) Indemnification You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Candibase and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the Services, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law. 15) Termination You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services immediately if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, Sections 8–18 survive. 16) Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be effective upon posting on https://candibase.io with an updated “Effective date” at the top. We will not provide separate notice of changes. Please review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Services and, if applicable, delete your account. 17) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Athens, Greece, for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services. 18) Miscellaneous If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Candibase regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
